The Group of European Audience Researchers (GEAR) consists of 31 members in 25 countries. Members are full-time audience researchers of EBU active member organizations. GEAR's purpose is to facilitate the exchange of professional audience research experience, knowledge and data on radio, television and associated new technologies.
The group also organizes annual conferences and provides audience research assistance to the EBU-SIS. Such collaboration may include conducting ad-hoc surveys on specific topics and/or the publication of audience data under joint EBU/GEAR auspices.
